The City of Pocatello Water Department will begin utilizing their summer work schedule Monday, March 12.
Scheduled working hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday but emergency personnel will still be available at all hours at 208-234-6181 or 208-234-6182. The 10-hour shift schedule allows crews to take advantage of daylight hours and to coordinate work schedules with construction contractors.
The City of Pocatello Water Department serves over 17,200 customers within the city limits and in portions of Bannock County. Department personnel are responsible for operating and maintaining 275 miles of water pipe that supply over 5.5 billion gallons of water to the department’s customers per year.
