Old Town Pocatello is the place to be on Friday as we host the May First Friday Art Walk. The evening will feature art, music, food, fashion and more in over 20 downtown shops and restaurants beginning at 5pm. Admission to the event is free. Parking is free, too. The event guide listing each location, the featured artists and additional attractions will be published on the Old Town website, www.oldtownpocatello.com on Thursday morning. Soul Full of Blues is back in action at Portneuf Valley Brewing for First Friday Art Walk. Come sing and dance the night (and the blues) away. Next up on Saturday is a new band, Regatta de Blanc. They play an eclectic mix of funk, reggae, 60s classics and contemporary styles. Be sure to check them out this weekend. Both shows are in the Loft 9pm – 11:30pm, no cover.
The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market will open for the 2018 season on Saturday! The Market will open at 9am and will feature bedding plants, hanging flower baskets, fresh produce, locally made art, crafts, jewelry, and more until 1pm. The Farmers Market will be open every Saturday from 9am to 1pm at the Old Town Pavilion, 420 N. Main St.
The Tasting Room, 328 W. Clark, will host a Free Wine Tasting and Sale beginning at 4pm on Saturday. Don’t miss out on a chance to try 10 wines and buy those you like at a discount!
The First National, 232 W. Center, will feature Gravio, Charm Quark, & Loop Ctrl on Friday beginning at 9pm. Phoenix Risen will take the stage on Saturday night with that show beginning at 10pm. The First National is now non-smoking, serving lunch, dinner, and appetizers and breakfast on the weekends.
The Company Dance Collaboration is holding its monthly workshop on Thursday, May 10 at Discovery Dance School, 310 E Clark. You get two instructors and two different styles for only $5! The evening will feature 7:00-8:00pm Hip-hop with Sheena Phelps and 8:00-9:00pm Lyrical with Krystal King. You can drop in for both classes or just one, but either way the cost is $5. Open to intermediate and advanced dancers over the age of 18.

Join Portneuf Valley Bike To Work, Bannock Planning & Transportation, Pocatello Police Department, College Neighborhood Association & Old Town Pocatello for the Annual Bike Parade & BBQ. On Friday, May 18, bring your kids and your bikes to the Old Town Pavilion for information booths, bike rodeo, BBQ and bike parade. Barrie’s Ski and Sports and East Fork Bikes will be present to conduct free visual inspections and teach you more about bike safety. Festivities begin at 6pm and the parade will begin at 6:30pm.
