Thank you to the ISU Communiversity Committee and all of the local businesses that came out yesterday to welcome back our ISU Bengals during Welcome Back Orange & Black. We are honored and excited to have the returning and new students, faculty and staff in our community!
Revive @ 5 on Wednesday will feature live music by Happy Havoc. Carpets Plus Colortile is this week’s sponsor. McKenzie River Pizza will have delicious food available for our crowd. This week’s special feature is Welcome Back Orange & Black so be sure to wear your best ISU Bengal gear! The Wednesday Farmers Market will be open, too! Come enjoy great music, food, cold beverages, ice cream, and more on Wednesday from 5-8pm at the Old Town Pavilion.
The Tasting Room, 328 W. Clark, will be hosting a Back to School Brunch on Thursday. From 10am to 2pm, they will be featuring Mimosas, wine spritzers, and one complimentary specialty tasting. Thanks A Brunch will be there with a delicious back-to-school menu.
Pocatello Art Center is hosting their 41st Annual Sagebrush Art Fest, on Friday and Saturday. The event brings local and regional artists to showcase their work. Sagebrush is held on the ISU campus, corner of 5th and Carter. There will also be music, food and children’s activity. Sagebrush Art Fest is held Friday 10am-7pm and Saturday 10am-6pm. Stop in for a few minutes or a few hours. They will have over 40 booths filled with arts and crafts, photography, wood and metal working, jewelry, and much more.
The Pocatello Co-op, 308 E. Center, will host their Monthly Wine Tasting on Saturday from 5 to 8pm. Cost is $7 for 5 pours. Farm Table Café will be open for dinner. Be sure to stop in and enjoy delicious wines and food.
The First National, 232 W. Center, will host a Revive @ 5 after party on Wednesday featuring Jake Kratochvil on stage from 8-10pm. On Friday don’t miss Idaho Muscle on stage at 9pm and on Saturday catch Tim Daniels at 10pm!
The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market will be hosting Corn Days on Saturday. They will have free corn on the cob beginning at 11am, until it’s gone. They are also featuring tons of fresh vegetables, a variety of new vendors and lots of new items. Come shop the Farmers Market on Saturday at the Old Town Pavilion from 9am to 1pm. It doesn’t get any fresher than at our Farmers Market!
Portneuf Valley Brewing, 615 S. 1st, will host local director Chris Crampton as he premiers his feature film “Episodic” beginning at 7pm on Thursday, adult audiences, free admission. On Friday enjoy Red Hill Junction Jazz Ensemble. Then on Saturday enjoy Dance Night. Both evenings begin at 8:30pm in the Loft, no cover!
Second Time Around 701 S. 1st, is hosting a Mega Yard Sale on Friday and Saturday. They got it. You need it. Stop in and get it. Free Popsicles while you shop!
The Pocatello Community is invited to the 2nd Annual Corn Hole Tournament being held on Saturday, Aug. 25th with bags starting to fly at 11:00 am. The Tournament is a “double elimination” and will have a “buy back in” option. All are welcome to join in this fun event! The Elks Lodge is located at the 410 South Main Street and will be open for food and drinks. Cash prizes will be awarded as well as a raffle and a 50/50 drawing. The Pocatello Chiefs will be hosting the End of Summer Bash at the Old Town Pavilion on Wednesday, September 6. This is the last Wednesday night concert of the summer! The KydJ Band will be performing. The Sand Trap will have dinner available for the crowd. There will be cold beverages and lots of fun for the entire family from 5 to 9pm!
Gate City Brewfest 2 is coming to Old Town on Saturday, September 8. From 4-9pm, enjoy local and regional craft beers, great food, live music with Happy Havoc on stage, lawn games and more on Main Street! This street style beer festival will be hosted by Old Town Pocatello, Inc. and the Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce along the 200, 300 and 400 blocks of North Main Street. Tickets are $25 in advance at www.gatecitybrewfest.com. Don’t wait to get your tickets!
