In our hearts, with honor and respect for all who were injured and lost, always, September 11, 2001.
This week in Old Town Pocatello:
The Center Street Underpass is open and it looks beautiful! Over the last month, crews repaired the façade on the east and west sides of the underpass, reconstructed the medians, upgraded the vehicle tunnel lights to light-emitting diodes, and recoated the pedestrian railings. Lights inside the pedestrian walkways, the sidewalks and the lampposts on both sides of the Underpass were replaced just prior to the closure. Many thanks to our residents for your patience while the project was completed. Many thanks to the City employees and contractors that kept the project on time and to Mayor Blad and our City Council members for supporting this much needed renovation. If you missed the ribbon cutting and public tours last Friday, the merchants of Old Town Pocatello would like to invite you downtown to take a look while you enjoy a delicious meal, do some shopping and enjoy a beautiful Fall day in the historic heart of our community!
