Oktoberfest on Saturday, plus lots more happening this week!
The biggest, the most exciting Oktoberfest ever is coming on Saturday! The AvCenter Professional Aviation Services and the Southern Idaho Honda Dealers are proud to present the 13th Annual Oktoberfest Street Party at Portneuf Valley Brewing on Saturday! Gates open at 4pm with live music featuring Gas, Food & Lodging, The Kyd-J Band and Soul Full of Blues beginning at 5pm. Three great bands, great beer, food available on the street and inside, seasonal specials and this year the beer cups are bigger! All ages welcome! $10 at the gate, half price admission for ISU students, and kids 12 and under are free. Plan to celebrate Oktoberfest in style at the street party following the ISU homecoming game! The Pocatello Art Center, 444 N. Main, is offering Youth Art Classes on Saturday mornings from 10am to noon. The classes are $5 and are for youth ages 8 to 13. Maximum of 15 students for each class. The schedule for October includes: October 6 – “Color for Kids” taught by Karen Vargason and Bob Beason. October 20 – “Intro to Clay” taught by Frank Hartlieb. Haunted History Walking Tour Tickets Now Available! Our favorite paranormal investigators are back! SPIRO Paranormal and Old Town Pocatello are pleased to present the 10th Annual Haunted History Walking Tours. Visit five haunted buildings in Old Town Pocatello, not just walk by them, but go inside to learn more about the history of the building and experience for yourself any haunted activity. Welcome Fall with Old Town’s Downtown Days Great Pumpkin Festival! This two day celebration is a wonderful way to prepare for the coming holidays. The Friends of the Marshall Public Library invite the public to their 2018 Fall Used Book Sale to be held Thursday through Saturday, October 11-13. The sale will be held in the Marshall Library, 113 S. Garfield. A wide variety of soft and hardcover books as well as videos and CDs will be available for purchase. Paperback items will be sold for $1.00 each and hardbacks for $2.00. However, all remaining stock will be reduced 50% on Saturday morning!
